walk-in

1. The period of time when the audience is permitted to enter the venue. Most often used in corporate theatre. Legit theatre uses the term "House Open," rock shows use the term "Doors."

2. Box Office/House Management. Undocumented admission, often authorized by a producer or his staff when no paper trail of unpaid (complimentary) admission is desired. "The producer called in four walk-ins for tonight, just put them in any empty seat."
