So for a while I've been thinking about DIYing a Clearcom (or generic intercom) headset. To prefix this I'm a Theatre Electrician and capable of simple soldering, but a little lacking on in depth sound knowledge.
I've seen: http://www.matgoebel.com/projects/headset
Which is where I actually got the idea.
Basically I'd like to take a project box, 9v battery, 4pin xlr, and a couple of 3.5mm panel mounts to make an adapter box for using a pc headset (dual 3.5mm).
Instead of building a powering circuit for the mic I'm thinking of using: https://www.ebay.com/itm/272445582127
If I cobble all this together will this work? Am I missing anything/are there any core concepts I am misunderstanding?
