We have an "corrective" adapted Clear Com system installed, and we need some 6 pin cable. Our packs are the 6pin 2 channel wired version. Though they did not run the correct wiring in the building to utilize the 2 channel feature so we operate it in A channel only for the packs. We use the B side of the main station as a A+B. We've adjusted our wired comm panels to 3 pin and use 3p to 6p adapters which allowed us the flexibility to utilize standard 3XLR for running pack locations around the theater. I still have some 6pin cable to daisy chain the packs together, and since we've added a Hollyland M1 system to our comms, I'm looking to use the B side and the wired comms for our video folks
Now after all that unnecessary preamble.
It seems not all 6pin xlr is made the same (Connector) I ordered some 6pin xlr cable from B&H and while it seems to interconnect (to tightly) with the existing 6 pin cable I have, I will NOT connect into the Clearcom Packs directly. When the company was doing our panel swaps from 6p to 3p he had mentioned that there was two styles of 6 pin in passing conversation, but don't recall much more than that.
Does anyone have any options or suggestion on brands, or connectors to expand our 6 pin xlr comm cable inventory?
