1. A wiring scheme whereby one device's input plugs into the output of another. Most commonly used for DMX transmission and for intercom beltpacks. This is why these devices have both male and female data/signal connectors.
In the diagram below, the "Short Jumpers" indicate the daisy chaining of the DMX512 dimmer devices.
