Pixel pitch, also known as dot pitch, defines the distance between indivudal pixel centers in pixel based displays such as LCD computer displays and LED video walls/curtains. In the case of color displays pixel pitch often defines the distance between the centers of RGB pixel triads, which is usually the same as the distance between the centers of adjacent pixels of the same color. Pixel pitch is usually defined as an absolute distance, often in mm, or as dots per inch (DPI). For a display of a given display size, a smaller distance value or greater DPI value for pixel pitch will result in more pixels and thus a higher resolution display.
