A/V. Also known as "presenter timer," "speaker timer," or "countdown clock," a clock on the lectern or near a confidence monitor, to indicate to the presenter know much time he has remaining for his speech. Besides a digital display, may also include (or just be) a traffic light-like array of green (talk), yellow (sum-up), and red (stop) indicators.

Originally a hardware solution:

Today, software (that often works with PowerPoint or Keynote) is becoming popular.

Also known to some, colloquially, as a "leash".
