Scenery Carriers and How They Work

Hey All,

I have included a picture of what I believe to be the H&H 400 series Scenery Carrier (Or it could be the ADC 1751 Basic Scenery Carrier. It fits both tracks, but the 170 drags across the side wall, were as the 400 seems just a little to tight to the center ridges of the track). How are people attaching the operating line to these, since it has no mechanism/clams for it. My initial thought is to just put a clove hitch around the bolt post on the onstage carrier (I'm using 2 for a 8' by 18' flat, to help with the weight across the track). Is there a better way? Have I missed something in the ADC/H&H catalog? Something more clever? It this the one use for zip ties in rigging?

I wouldn’t. I’d use the H&H 451 or 451A “really useful carrier” to do an operating line with a scenic element.

That's an ADC 1751A, it's not intended for use with lines.
It's a basic push along carrier.

You need 1701 and 1702 if you have 170 track and the appropriate end pulleys etc..
