A locking, single pole connector borrowed from the welding industry for use in entertainment for portable feeder cable applications. Superseded rather quickly once Cam-Lok connectors were introduced, and pretty much gone from the industry by the mid-1980s.* Tweco today makes welding tips and accessories.

Tweco connectors were never rated or Listed for line voltage applications and were arguably quite dangerous due to lack of shrouding on the contacts.

*But sadly, sometimes they are still to be found:

See the thread https://www.controlbooth.com/threads/what-kind-of-cams-are-these.24715/ for discussion of Tweco connectors and welding cable as feeder.

No not confuse with Trico or tricot.
