no, i think we're talking the same hazer, but that 3 pin can take the controller you're talking about OR the DMX interface made for the hazer... we have the dmx.

no, the le maitre remote plugs into the hazer via XLR and then has 2 DMX ports on top allowing you to either use it as a remote, or set it up thru a console. i've used it many times with a console. this particular time tho its just being odd. as i said, it functions normally when immdiatly...

while i appreciate that link, the last post on it was from 2008, and mostly people complaining about a lot of ETC boards doing this occasionally... the last post talks about the ION doing it every single shutdown, always at full... in 2 years, im wondering if this has been addressed yet.

i've got an XS via DMX with an ETC Ion. after 10 min of non use the hazer seems to "sleep" when the board tells it to haze again, it will not. the hazer has to be powered down and back up for it to respond to the board again. after that it will haze properly, until it sits for 10 min again...

Hey y'all i've come across this problem a few times now. When our Ion powers down, it sends a stray DMX signal to the dimmers which causes random lights to pop on at Full. With most dimmers its no big deal, and they turn off after a certain period of time without signal, but ours don't do...

personally i know that over the course of a couple shows, purchasing R40 frames like the ones im looking for would pay for itself, because it takes 2 of my crew at least 30 -45 min per load in and per strike to swap it all out. that cost effective to me right there.

in a similar problem. i'v got an ION with one touch screen and one regular VGA monitor. when the VGA is in alone, it works fine, but when i add the touch screen into the DVI port, i lose the VGA. i thought i could solve this by getting a DVI to VGA turnaround and have both monitors in the VGA...

well sure, but having a basis for lightning, fireworks, etc can be useful. im happy to share effect cues for stuff i have with no worries that im getting ripped off. this board is all about helping. id be nice to say, man i need to do this type of effect... how are other people doing it? ah...
