    BROKEN ETC EXPRESS

Thanks, all, your comments and suggestions were very helpful! I have it all running off of universe 1 for our musical this week, but once that's done I'll open it up and put in the new chip I ordered.

    BROKEN ETC EXPRESS

I have an ETC Express 48/96 at a local high school and one of the kids accidentally plugged a clearcom cable using a 3/5 pin adapter into the Universe 2 output (please don't reply to that part). It fried the DMX universe output. The board works as normal, but the universe the clearcom was...

    Rising stage platform

I'm looking to rent a rising stage platform in the NJ/NYC area. It needs to hold 3 high school actors to be used as an 'elevator' for our production. It needs to start out at less than 1'-2' tall and rise to about 4'-5'. I've seen lots of scissor lift tables/rising stage platforms online but...

Chauvet SlimPar Pro RGBA vs Tri

I've also been hearing about the new Blizzard Q12 units. Has anyone done a side by side with Chauvet SlimPar Pro? Any thoughts on the Q12 units?

Chauvet SlimPar Pro RGBA vs Tri

Could you make any comparison of the TRI units to a conventional 300w Par 56 or 500w par 64 with primary color gels? I know the transparency would alter results but it would be great to have a rough idea.

Chauvet SlimPar Pro RGBA vs Tri

How is the light output of the 3 watt SlimPars compared to the RGBA units with more 1 watt LEDs?

Chauvet SlimPar Pro RGBA vs Tri

The school I work at is looking to update our lighting. Up until this point we have been doing almost entirely white lighting due to laziness and lack of additional fixtures to gel. Right now all we have is 20 ETC S4's in front of the stage as white light. The space is used for theater...

MM-Dual Ear PSM Pro Series Dual Earset Microphone

Thank you. Based on your reply I am assuming you have done the side-by-side? I work at a private high school and we have 16 Audio Technica 4000 series units with 8 countryman E6 headsets and 8 Audio Technica Lavs we use as hair-mics or guide them over the ear and tape them high on the cheek. The...

MM-Dual Ear PSM Pro Series Dual Earset Microphone

I recently came across the MM audio Dual Ear headset mics online and I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with either these or other MM audio headsets. I did come across one great review on here but I'm wondering if anyone else has used them. They seem too good to be true. This...

Wireless WIRELESS system with off brand antenna

If the active antennas are so bad, why do they seem to be so popular? It seems most manufacturers produce them, even higher end companies like lectrosonic. is it a matter of most people not being able to use them correctly? or do even the high end ones have such problems?

Wireless WIRELESS system with off brand antenna

Awesome, thanks so much for your input! I will try putting the rack backstage and keeping the antennas on the same side of the stage as the rack.

Wireless WIRELESS system with off brand antenna

I have 16 Audio Technica 4000 series units, 8 in "C" band and 8 in "D" band with distros, sharing two of the Audio Technica unpowered fins without amplification (using 25 foot antenna cables). They are currently living in our sound booth, which is 50 feet from the front of the stage, and 75 feet...
