Interesting thing to know that u can do that. But I hope I can always just do full install so I don't have to worry about some part of the console being messed up.Now the question is, do I try to return the drives that I marked with sharpie, or try to reformat.

Looking all good. Conclusion is that "memorex" drives are a risky buy, got a 2 pack of 64 gb. Flashed quickly, but dont work right, even had a random "no room on flashdrive" error message when there was clearly enough room. Probably need a deep format. One of the drives are not being recognized...

Those are all good point. I do like to tinker. I think if my laptop breaks when I do stuff I like doing anyways then it’s a poor laptop. Hopefully it will last me as long as my 2010 MacBook lasted me. The new windows laptop is still in the mail.Thanks for all the input.

mydmx dongle is 300 for one universe? I suggest an enttec and Martin MPC, 1 universe and for less than 200. OR the Martin Mbox is 2 universes. Or a 10 dollar DIY USB DMX dongle and QLC+ :). There are more otions to consider before next year.. I do think that an actual board would be fun to mess...
