no, your right not quite the effect we are looking for. the director wants it so that, to say, the AUD are the fire theselves. plus we dont have a large budget for that. good idea though would work.

yes could do. although getting dimmed power down to ground could proove a problem as all dimmed channels are up on the rig. and cant really run a extension down with out being highly noticeable.

sorry for any confusion i dont have a frog 2 its just the frog. there are 13amps up on the rig but there is no way of controling them as they some how come from the dimmer supply. were could i purchase a remote controlled christmas light kit from? would a remote control socket adaptor work...

PC on windwos xp. yes the software is running in USB mode(DMX mode) i have tried it on my desktop too but still no joy.

no they are extremely durable . these are our standard clamps. they are used for generic lanterns(Fresnel's,profiles,etc.) for moving fixtures we use clamps more like your standard ones.
