JMS USB2DMX!? hellpp...

hello guys

i was hoping whether any of you could shed some light on my problem...

i have just received in the post today, the JMS USB2DMX lead from eBay

i have installed the drivers etc. but still nothing

i am using freestyler as my software.
on the fixture, the DMX signal light, is not showing any signs of DMX input.
Does any one know of any way to solve this problem, any help is gratefully appreciated.

first off: Mac or PC?

I use AMDJ My DMX usb and just love it. However sometimes after the computer is done booting up even with the USB plugged in from the start it doesn't load the USB-DMX driver. An unplug, wait and then plug it back in solves this issue everytime. Make sure you hear the little "beep" when you plug in the USB, at least on a PC running Vista.

Does your software tell you it is running in "demo" mode or "USB" mode?

PC on windwos xp. yes the software is running in USB mode(DMX mode) i have tried it on my desktop too but still no joy.
