    Positioning Source Fours

As stated we need to know the spread ( IE 19, 26 etc) and the size of stage, trim height and throw distance in order to help better. I also agree that your main goal is to light the faces first with even white light. Given that you have 4 lights and If your stage is 40' wide with a throw of...

Design New back drop for church stage ideas

These are very impressive back drops and ease to make and use. Basically a 48" triangle made of 1 x 4 pine with 1/2" plywood back then an 1"-1/4" trim that hides the LED RGB strip tape. Wood was painted white. These are attached to a black 2x4 that is screwed to a hidden plywood wall. They...

    House light solution!

An electrician was hired to install L5-20 twist lock receptacles in the existing junction boxes. This was required by the churches insurance. The install was done by myself as a volunteer. I also had several non skilled volunteers to assemble the mounting wires, eye bolts, beam clamps, and...

    MAC 700 Profile troubleshoot

Quickly is; the former tech replaced it once, then I replaced it, and it struck once then wouldn't strike. I did not clean it, but was careful not to touch it.

    House light solution!

@JonCarter the center areas are 48-50 fc and the perimeter is 38-40 fc. in general with full "white" meaning all RGBWL colors on we usually only run it at 50-60%. When using other colors I have to take the white and lime down a bit to increase the saturation. I really love these!!

    MAC 700 Profile troubleshoot

Need help to find out why the Mac 700 Profile keeps burning out the Osram HTI 700/D4/75 quickly and won't strike. I have attached a picture. When I strike it the unit seems to buzz slightly then errors with a service code to change lamp. I'm not sure where to start looking as replacing the...

    House light solution!

Agree that shackles would have been my choice, however the person who designed this chose them. Since the fixtures are 15# I didn't fight that battle.

    House light solution!

@JonCarter and @microstar , I hope this helps. The space is 110'x70' Trim from fixture to floor is 22' We used 34 fixtures. We intentionally did not put 4 fixtures in front of the stage, nor 2 fixtures by the thrust tech booth. All lights are aproximatly 14' apart and starting about 8'...

    House light solution!

We finally came up with a solution to replace the house lights in our gymatorium for our church. We used the Elation Fuze Pendant . We had great support from Robert Mentele with Elation. He took our room sizes and trim height and did a full rendering. This assured us of getting even coverage...

    Control/Dimming My first 4 lights

4 Source 4 at 575 watts is 2300 watts You should only run only 1800 to 2000 w on a single 20 amp circuit. My guess is you are drawing too much and your dimmer pack is over temping. after it cools it resets itself. Unplug one light and see if you have the same issue.

Looking for pointers on how to leg platforms 8’ high while maintaining sturdiness

Think of it this way you are building a second floor of a house. So supporting walls 2x4 16" on center, placed under the ends of the floor joists. I would build stud walls under all 4 sides and put 1/2" Plywood on the face of all sides. Then set your decks on top. Bolt the two decks...
