Automated Fixtures DesignSpot 575E - need to change gobos

The gobo holders can be spun into position manually with the moving head open, but I can't tell how to remove them. No O-ring or spring clips that I can see and interior structure prevents pulling out the entire gobo wheel.

Automated Fixtures DesignSpot 575E - need to change gobos

No. BOTH wheels have changeable gobos. I know this because someone changed the gobos on the non-rotating wheel from the standard set prior to my tenure at this theater.I need the original gobos , which I have, back into the instrument, but cannot find any description of the process. Since the...

Automated Fixtures DesignSpot 575E - need to change gobos

They are changeable and can handle either dichroic or steel gobos, also the manual describes both gobo wheels as "easily changeable". I'm just not sure how to remove them.

Automated Fixtures DesignSpot 575E - need to change gobos

I've been unable to find a guide or video anyplace that shows or describes how to change out gobos on our DesignSpot 575Es. Does anyone have any experience doing this? These will be on gobo wheel 1, the non-rotating one.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phoebus UltraArc II service manual needed.

The short throw was only due to the limits of the storage room. This thing is stored inside and the stand is kept outside on the balcony. It weighs too much for me to get it out there on my own. I'll be down there next week sometime and get it loaded up and test again.

Phoebus UltraArc II service manual needed.

I finally got down to the theater and re-adjusted the position of the iris. It now does cut off the beam, but it seems to be dimming it instead of irising in. I can get a nice hard edge when using the shutter and dowser, but there doesn't seem to be any position for the movable lenses that will...

Phoebus UltraArc II service manual needed.

Ok, here are pictures. First one is the whole thing with the cover off. The rear lens is as far back as it goes which puts it flat up against the iris.Second is a close up of the lens and iris in the same position. The black bracket coming out the top is what the control handle screws into...

Phoebus UltraArc II service manual needed.

Correct, fully "closed" the iris opening is still more than 2.5 inches in diameter. The iris control lever moves thorough an arc a little less that 90 degrees with the cover on. To close fully it needs to move somewhere closer to 120 degrees which can only be done with the covers off, the handle...

Phoebus UltraArc II service manual needed.

Does anyone have a service manual for the Phoebus UltraArc II Long Throw?I've only been able to find the user manual for it, which doesn't include pictures/diagrams of the interior. The reason I'm asking is that ours doesn't seem to have the right dowser/shutter/iris assembly in it. The...

Good to know, thanks. I'll adjust the owners' expectations accordingly.

Suggestions for LED Cyc units and new follow spots?

I'm noticing that all the followspots being mentioned seem to be tungsten or discharge lamps of one flavor or another. Are there no LED followspots that can meet the requirements that the original poster is looking for?I ask because we are in the market with similar requirements.. Outdoor...

    Sunlight on a Train

Far be it from me to recommend non-technical solutions, but even if there's only a little bit of room in the wings why not have someone in a tree/telephone pole costume occasionally run across in front of the lights...Frost the windows and soften the beams and it should work.

Automated Fixtures Moving light maintenance question

neither of them is sticking at all, they just chirp on every open/close.Sounds like taking a graphite stick to them is the easiest way, since I already have one of those in my kit.
