What does being Technical Director mean

Getting no accolades when everything goes right, but being blamed for when things go wrong...even when the actors change things at the last second without telling you!

    # of lamps to light a single person

45 feet away in complete darkness, I use a 50 watt Ikea Isbrytare...no longer available, but came with glass gels, gobos, and even an aperture adjustment. Does the job for me, although when the bulb blows I'll see if there's an LED equivalent...but it's bright enough from our projection booth...

When to change the projector bulb?

I just started reading the procedure for my projector to see if it's easy to do, and I found the following warning:"If you continue to use the lamp after the replacement period has passed, the possibility that the lamp may explode increases. When the lamp replacement message appears, replace...

When to change the projector bulb?

You say 200hours, but what is the life expectancy of the bulb you are referring to? Is it my 2000hour bulb, or a 600hour bulb?

When to change the projector bulb?

Problem is I don't know if it has gotten darker than when it was new, because I have nothing to compare it to. It's not like I took a reading of the projection when it was new, and could do another reading now to see if it is darker.

When to change the projector bulb?

Let's say it's not blown.Epson G6900WU with a 6000 lumen bulb. It's rated at 2000hours in "normal mode" (vs. 4000 hours in "eco" mode). I got 750hours normal, 225 eco. I was thinking of waiting until end of May (end of our season) to do it...that would add another another 130hours...

LED Ballast Bypass Lamps for Fluorescent Troffers

If you want a test to see if your fluorescent light has an old magnetic ballast vs. a newer electronic ballast, use your cellphone (or any camera that has live view):If you get a rippling image, it's a magnetic ballast:If you get no rippling, then it's an electronic ballast:I...

    Synchronized Clocks

Also use a WWVB clock...the clock in question is battery operated and it was a PITA to have to get the ladder up twice a year to set a regular clock for daylight savings...now I just need to change it max once a year to change the battery (no power nearby).

Why can't they just make one type of plug...I hate trying to adapt my devices for a different plug...it's a real nail biter!
