One little thing that ive been doing latly is i started place the moniters hanging intstead of on the floor. Ive found that this gives the mics alittle less to pick up on on the stage. Also, with our house we would have a heck of a time trying to keep the moniters from over powering the house...

If your looking to cut costs, just use dry ice. Weldding supply places round here have it almost dirt cheap and we just use a "modified" shop vac to mix it in. Just duct tape everything off and use the wand to place the fog or go into whatever your useing to disperse it, and the clamps hold...

I can agree with that. He probaly got the thing for free just for saying that the company could use the guys name...lucky rich folk. I know that mic made me shudder though. Even if you can afford it, any self respecting sound guy hates to see gear mistreated!

The dry ice set off the alarm? Thats a new one. usually gas alarms are set higher up on the walls and arent set to CO2. Either way...one of those things that deffinatly sucks. Ive had a couple false alarms during some of my shows..plus some that wernt so false..

Number one, if they dont have a mic, i always use the same response. "Only people who complain about not having mics are the actors that just arent good enough to project their voice to my house mics. So unless your admitting that you suck, leave me alone..." As to body mics, think about it...

Even worse is when its a show your not working yourself, but you go anyways to support your crew and you know that theres all rookies in the back and you hear it..:rolleyes:
