Control/Dimming ETCLink, Sensor Racks, and Modern Connectivity, Oh My!

Congratulations on the new gig. From your description, I am presuming that your Sensor racks were not upgraded as a part of the rest of the upgrades and are presently using CEM Classic control modules. (Blue buttons, number pad, two line screen). If this is the case, the control modules could...

    EOS/Nomad: Trapped in Version Skew

ETCnomad is not limited in our view as to who owns it. It is obviously easier to manage the dependencies when all of the gear is controlled by one entity, but with communication about the hardware availability and compatibility, desired features included in specific software releases, and local...

    EOS/Nomad: Trapped in Version Skew

Now that your poll has closed, here are the answers I was holding back:1. You cannot mirror nor be a client to a console running a different version of software than you are. In addition, your fixture library version, keyboard and help languages must all be in sync as well for a client to...

    EOS/Nomad: Trapped in Version Skew

Hi @Jay Ashworth ,I don't want to skew the results of your poll so I will hold off on giving you answers for your questions and responses to your comments until your poll closes, but I do have a question about one item that you mentioned: Why is the older console still running version 2.8.3...

Control/Dimming etc sensor classic cem (control electronics module) possible conversion to 240v ac single phase operation

So that rack is designed for 220/380 50Hz and the mods you see might be related to the higher voltage than the US (120/208) variant of the rack. The metal in the backplane where the control module sits will have some sections that are not populated due to the rack type or size and that is...

Control/Dimming etc sensor classic cem (control electronics module) possible conversion to 240v ac single phase operation

Thanks @RonHebbard for the bat signal.@pat botha: The answer to your question depends on exactly what you mean by convert and which version of equipment you currently have. What size rack are you currently using? Is it portable or permanently installed? What voltage is it currently intended...

    ETC equipment loaners for sale?

Thanks for the heads up.As a general rule, ETC does not sell our loaner units. However there are exceptions to every rule and we are aware of the history of this unit. As with every online auction, it is good to exercise a healthy amount of caution before purchase and if you are concerned...

    Sensor Rack issues

This is the important change to be aware of since circuits you might expect to dim will only turn on/off in this instance. This is fine. See:I still recommend calling us to troubleshoot in front of the rack to get to the root cause of the AF errors.

    Control/Dimming ETC Unison RemoteDirect

If the IR remote functionality was previously programmed into your system, you would not need a tech to reconfigure using LightDesigner (assuming you still want the buttons to do what they were doing). If you lost the remote, all you would need to do is order a replacement from your favorite ETC...

    Control/Dimming ETC Unison RemoteDirect

Hi @Aiden Schramm ,All Paradigm stations use the latest version of the IR remote. Early Legacy Unison Systems used the older variants of the remote and those references aren't relevant to your Paradigm system. The IR sensor on the station(s) does need to be programmed by the ETC Authorized...

    Sensor Rack issues

Based on the job number and configuration we have on file, it is indeed a Sensor+ system with Advanced Features. I would recommend that you let the tech person know and troubleshoot with us when y'all have time since the configuration on site is one that shouldn't be regenerated from scratch.

    Sensor Rack issues

Do you have all AF modules in the rack? If not, it's probable that the rack's Advanced Features were turned on without having the AF modules. If you do have all AF modules in the rack, it sounds like the AF cards that interpret the signals could be malfunctioning. What generation are these...

    Coemar ProSpot 250 Soften Beam?

@HazyOblivion - What version of software are you running and which version of fixture library are you using? I just checked this fixture profile in the current version (2.8.2) and it appears to follow the DMX chart that @derekleffew attached above. What the PDF is calling focus, Eos calls...
