    Cheap but good mic's

    If you do not have enough money for the main line Shure SM series you can always go for the PG series although there is a noticiable difference they are a great mic for the price you pay for them...and now they also have the Shure PGX series stuff coming out for some descent quality wireless...

    Choices

    The PG mics are great and now Shure has started making the PGX series which is a step up, at the company I work at we sell the PG 48 mic for $35. If I were you I would consider going this way shure makes a great mic.

    yes it is a lot like paper mache, although paper mache would not have quite the same effect and or hold up the same as dutch.

    no it looks to be .75inches in depth or height, the Diameter looks to be 12 inches which would make sense..

    Analog is the way to go... it seems that until digital systems are required for use they are not going to be totally put into effect...when that time is I do not know.

    lamp question

    The differences between the two lamps are basically the Lumans, but also the color temp and the filament type. THe 601 has 12800 lumans and the 603 has 1200 lumans.
