Conventional Fixtures 6K Dimmers, 60A cables, and Five-fers

I believe it is. I've got some old 6k plugs that are fed by d20's now, post renovation. Your solution doesn't sound much different.

I've got the opposite - D50's feeding 2.4 plugs. D50->60A receptacle back of portable pack -> 3 way split -> 20A female receptacle -> 20A cabling -> fixture. I was looking at dropping 20A fused components on one end of the 3way split.
