A Capital Fourth/Boston Pops

I watched both shows tonight and the mixes haven't been good overall. On A Capital Fourth they have multible stages, one would be good another would suck. Little Richard performed and that was 90% snare. On Boston Pops the soloist had no body in their voices. I am assuming these are companies that do TV regularly and should have it together. The Boston Pops itself sounds great.

I'm not sure what company is responsible though I can say that on site sound has historically been of variable quality here in Boston. Also, broadcast and reinforcement could be different providers.

Boston's only real problem was body in the voice, we were only getting the upper half of the mix. DC was a mess, one stage sounded great, the next not so much.
