Audio Install

What cable should I be looking at for a permanent audio run from the booth to a wall plate on stage? I will be running cable through conduit from the mixing board to QSC K8 powered loudspeakers.

Belden 5500FE works as well, but has a lower twist rate, the drain wire is outside the shield, and the wires are untinned, which makes it harder to terminate. The upside is that I find it can be had for about half the price of 8451 or 9451.

The twist rate affects the system's ability to reject common mode noise. That isn't necessarily the place to skimp. On the other hand, the difference might not be enough to cause issues and I have yet to be dissappointed in a Belden product.

Belden 9451 is my favorite. I have used many miles of it.
