Wireless Australian Digital Dividend

A heads up for all of you down under, the government has announced that the Digital Dividend will net 126 MHz and that it will be 694 MHz and up.

Therefore, DO NOT buy any wireless audio system operating at frequencies above 694 MHz. They will become illegal to use in 2-3 years time, the spectrum is expected to be auctioned in the latter parts of 2012 with occupation date not yet advised.

I did a submission on the Digital Dividened for our Theatre a few months, as did many other theatres around town. This was to let them know a lot of us are using these frequencies, and to consider us when the time comes to make the final decision.

Factory Sound in Melbourne are now only supplying Sennheiser Radio gear in the B range
626-668 MHz , in order to ensure future compliance. ( I have just purchased one to add to our existing 7 radio systems.)
