Benchfocusing Leos

I sort of stepped on an unmentionable body part the other week. We did ESPN Friday Night Fights. We used Leos instead of the Shakespeares speced. The intensity is way off between lights, they are all lamped the same. I had to get creative with which light hit which banner, and we all know boxing is all about the banners and beauty lights. So I complained to the equipment company about their bench focus and insisted they take care of it. Their main tech says he has no idea how to do it and he would pay me his rate to come and show him. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I do. Anybody with experience with these pieces of junk.

There ya go. It doesn't get any more generic than that.

Sorry to sound pessimistic Michael, but we had a Leo here for testing when first released. The optics were very poor across the image area, regardless of the accessories used with the fixture (custom donuts of all sizes and shapes, tophats). Bench focusing was somewhat unpleasant, as the image quality would improve at the perimeter only to worsen in the center. ...

I was afraid that it was a matter of junk. They keep telling me they are comparable to Shakespeares. I told him that's true, they both have lamps, clamps and lenses. After that start comparing them to bricks. He didn't appreciate my candor.
