Automated Fixtures Chroma q DB4 and the PSU 30

Hello all,

I am currently attempting to patch a rig and part of it consists of a PSU 30 controller for 14 color block Chroma Q DB4's. The issue we are having is that currently no profiles on our ion console match what we can output on the control for the power box. We have tried all manner of color block profiles mixed with the modes and nothing seems to give us a control of effects and color. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Personally, after looking at the manual, I would put the units into "mode 9" and then assign 3 channels to be the RGB. Or, you could go "Mode 8" and due a hue, Saturation, and Intensity 3 Channel control (unless you need effects then that adds many more channels). From there, it should be easy to patch a generic 3 color LED instrument and assign a pallette. I would not try to control each individual cell, I would go for banks of color.

I always prefer the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Good luck.
