A fabric-based waterproof tape known for its ALLEGED ability to fix almost anything. It comes in a variety of colors but most commonly it is found in a silvery-gray. This is due to its most common commercial use, however erroneous (http://www.consumerenergycenter.org/...duct_tape.html), in the HVAC market for sealing air ducts.
It is NOT a substitute for gaffers tape, and in fact should never be used on a stage. With time, it can disintegrate and/or leave a sticky residue on everything it touches.
