Mr Cadena also misses something in regard to guitarists at about the 14:00 point: he's correct that the guitarist is connected to the chassis of the amplifier via the guitar cord; it is what follows that I take exception to. It is more often the guitar amplifier that is at fault, either from use of AC polarity flip (that connects line voltage to the chassis, rather than ground) or a failure of the "death cap" capacitor, or in some cases a power supply failure. Most often the PA system is properly grounded, and when the guitarist touches the microphone, becomes part of a circuit.
