Control/Dimming ETC Ion with Fader Wing

Hey all,

We just purchased some new etc Ions with the 1x20 fader wing on top and a 2x20 fader wing on the left. What we would like to do os keep the 1x20 always ok 1-20, and the left 2x20 on 21-60, and for only the left wing to page through as needed.

Is there an option to "lock" the top fader wing to always be 1-20 no matter how we page through things?

Thanks.

In manual fader configuration each 1x10 fader bank is a page starting top left and working right, then down. So page 1 is the top left set, page 2 is the top right set, page 3 is center left and so on. When changing fader pages the page you select will load into the top left slot, and it the next 5 pages in order onto the fader banks. If you only ever change pages by every 6 then you'll always have the same faders in the same place. This is the easiest way to change pages anyway as things don't move around on you. So if you have page 1 loaded as your start page and you want to change pages you'll change to page 7 to load the new set. Then in manual fader configuration you can configure page one to be submaster (or playback or whatever you want) 1-10, page 2 to be 11-20, up to page 6 being 61-70. But then when you get to page 7 configure that page again to be the same as page 1, so submaster 1-10. Page 8 you would set to be the same as page 2. Then for page 9-12 can be your next set of subs, 71-80. Repeat as needed.

There may be other ways to do this but that's what I've figured out to work well. BTW manual fader configuration is in Browser - Setup - Show Settings - Fader Configuration (on the right).

Configure it once and save in a "Basic" file, or whatever you choose to call, then re-load that file after boot.

I find it easier to work in live and just key in "Sub 1, Enter" and then press both bump buttons, repeating for all subs. If the subs have not yet been created, go to Blind and do a Sub 1 thru 40, Enter will create the subs needed (with no channel values).
