heavy machinery

I will moving on from the large scale scene shop I am at now, to start as the TD for the Paramount Theatre near Chicago in the summer. They starting to produce large scale musicals ($60k - $100k set budgets for each show) but we are starting from scrap setting up a shop. Does anyone know of any good resources for used:

Fork lifts
Scissor Lifts
CNC Routers
Radial arm saws (3hp and up)
Table saws
Bridgeport machining presses
Ironworks (40ton and up)
or
Cold Cut Saws

Preferrably they would be in the Chicago Land area, but I can travel to get things if the deal is there.

You will likely be better off renting or leasing a fork truck rather than buying, as the rental company will take care of required maintenance.
Radial arm and table saws show up on Craigslist regularly.

You might want to give Chicago Scenic a call and see if they have any old gear laying around. Beyond that, Peoria, Decatur, Detroit, any other rustbelt area have all factories that are closing down. Just look at the papers, many places are holding auctions.
