One of the LDs I once talked to about MagicQ just said that it "is a HogII on steroids/HogII copy" (he is a big Vector guy),

It definitely has some Hog II similarities, mostly because of the shared personel between the design teams of the two, but it is definitely not a Hog II copy. Hog II on steroids might be closer to accurate. I have heard people describe MagicQ as "what the Hog III software should have been" and I'm not sure that is an unreasonable opinion. Regardless, MagicQ is thousand times more powerful than Hog II.

About to spec a MagicQ PC for use at a club, has anyone ever used the audio interface? How well does it work?

Bishop, it is a touch screen, but its not just a touch screen! Its an Asus Eeetop all in one PC with touchscreen. Newegg has them for about $450.

Excellent news that you are having good luck with it. I'll definitely be buying one very very soon. On a side note, I just bought an iPad hoping to use it with MagicQ PC. Unfortunately I just found out that you need a wing of some sort for it to work. Buying a wing kind of defeats the purpose of MagicQ for me so oh well...
