Interface architectural control system to PC hardware

We develop interactive installations, almost always driven by custom software on a PC, and often featuring projection, architectural lighting or other outputs. These installations are for long-term unattended operation, and often clients ask us if our system can be tied to an existing control system based on DMX, DALI, Lutron etc inputs.

We are seeking a bridge or interface product that can startup and soft-shutdown a PC based on input from client control systems. Does such a bridge or interface product exist? Thanks in advance for any input.

This sounds like a job for Crestron or AMX set-up. They have a wide variety of control options that would probably work with what you are intending.
