My high school theatre company is doing a production of Catch Me If You Can. Since we are a high school company, we are limited both in resources and in budget. I am trying to find a way to create the color on the set in this video:
for the "Live in Living Color" number in the show.
We are thinking of integrating projection into this show, but we have no experience with projection yet and I would like to accomplish this look using materials we already have, such as LEDs. I also need to keep in mind that the general wash lights need to be bright and cover the stage at the same time, because this is a large dance number, without washing the effect out. How can I create this effect on stage? And how can I do this while also preventing the LEDs, or whatever lights I use, from getting washed out by the stage lighting?
Thanks for your help!
