I see that everyone else has already said it, but I'm gonna say it anyway:

At $70/lamp, unless there is some *truly* compelling reason not to (like "we have 75 of the damn things"), replace the luminaires.

Oh' so would love to say that. And have... but my word don't go far up the chain of command. All Mark from Osram's fault in solving the lamp problem. As long as Osram is now supplying a quality lamp... On the other hand, even if obsolete... works and does it's job so perhaps no need of replacement if the client is willing to pay the listed price above. For a moving light lamp... that's a cheap price. For a LED... yea, they could perhaps find or invent a similar LED fixture for their needs perhaps in the long run more efficient. Again chain of command.... and works to expactations great.
