We have a Roland M-400 digital mixer where the LED for one of the mute buttons has stopped working (the mute button still works, it's just the LED indicator that is broken). Several of us have electronics training/experience, so we were thinking about trying to disassemble the console and take a look at it. I've obtained the tech repair manuals, and the PCB where the mute button is mounted appears to be pretty easily accessible.
So, my question is (before we tear apart this very expensive mixer), does anyone have any experience in disassembling/repairing Roland audio consoles (especially the M-400)?
