Microphones Samson C01

Hi All,

What are your opinions of the Samson C01 condenser microphone?

The YouTube reviews I've watched all sound really great and the owners seem to love them.

Do any of you own them or have any experience? Thanks

Mainly recording, maybe some live. Probably again, mainly vox, maybe string instruments.

For $20 more you may be better off just getting an SM57 or SM58, they will stand up to a little more abuse.

If you're looking for an large diaphragm condenser and not a dynamic like a 57/58, go $20 up and look at the AT2020, pretty much the standard for inexpensive LDC mics from what I've seen. I have two Samson CO1s, and while they're okay mics, they're not my favorites.
