For those who don’t know, the Punta Gorda Symphony management canceled the last concert of the season and its music director’s last concert of his 10-year post a few hours before the downbeat. This concert was a large donor event at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, and on the program was music by John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and the world premiere of a timpani concerto by Gabriel Suarez.
