Hello

For my day job I'm an internet technician for a major telecom corporation. My back ground is with computers and electronics. My draw to control booth.com is I'm a volunteer for the tech team at my church. If I were to give myself a title it would be tech director. I have my hands in IT, sound, lighting, and media. As with most churches I have almost no budget so I'm constantly finding ways to work with what I have. I've been learning the art of stagecraft for about 5 years. I've learned from from books, my local vendors, and of course the internet. I love learning tech so I'm hoping to continue that process with the experience of those on these forums.

Welcome aboard Gary! There are a lot of people here in the same situation as yourself. Let us know how we can help you.

Good day Gary, and welcome to the ControlBooth!

Yes, as Davey Sims stated, there are a number of us that also find ourselves in the technical director role at our churches. And as you've mentioned, being good stewards with finances happens to be a very familiar situation with many if not all of us.

Where are you located?

All my best wishes to you and your team,
