Icue on Source 4 VNSP PAR?

I've got a pair of I cues with the 14 degree lens adapter, which happen to also fit in a Source 4 PAR. Show I'm involved with wants lots of very bright, saturated color beams, but is lacking in instruments. Has anyone tried this, or is putting a I cue on a 575W PAR MCM fixture a good way to cook the mirror/motors from the light intensity?

Well, a replacement mirror is not that much....If you can afford a worst case scenario, why not give it a try? I'm working just from my gut, but I don't imagine that the amount of heat coming out of the instrument is all that different from a 14 degree with a 750 lamp.

Looks on paper like it will work, so I'll assume it will unless someone else pipes up with no, it sets everything on fire, don't try it.

I think you will get a lot of bleed around the sides of it but I bet it will kinda work, maybe with some blackwrap.
