Chuavet has just announced their new mover, the Maverick Silens 2 Profile.
I got a chance to see and more importantly not hear the prototype a while back. I'm so excited to finally be able to talk about it. I put my own ear 1 foot away from this product while it was doing a moderately paced ballyhoo and it was SILENT. No fan. No movement sound. Silent. When they cranked the speed up to full you could hear it a bit. But it is QUIET!!! Equally impressive was the LED engine. They did a 30 second dim from 10% to 0 and you couldn't see anything. I was staring at the screen trying to decide if i was actually still seeing an image at 3% or if it was ghost of the image printed in my retinas... nope it was still fading. REALLY amazing. It has a red shift feature that was beautiful! It also has some great animation effects too.
I'm so happy to finally be able to talk about this. I've been lucky enough to be able to see a few prototypes but this is the first one that I left the room saying, I want to order that right now! I run a high school performing arts center and silence is critical. These will be a huge addition to my inventory. Take my money now Chauvet!! PLEASE!
Big congratulations to our friend @Ben Dickmann this was his baby and he really did it right!
