Right Arm Hang Position

I am using two Apollo Right Arms (Old Version) in the show I am currently working on. They hang in our Near FOH position. The problem is that there is not enough room for the right arm to just hang down. The manual says not to yoke to the side/out. Should I cheesborough a pipe out to hang the instrument? I dont want to take the clamp off (because it obviously is special to the operation of the instrument), so a sidearm won't work.

Thanks!

You betcha, run with a cheesborough anchored in two points for most stability.

The Apollo Right Arm repositioning device supports loads up to 40 lbs (18.1 kg) when mounted in a vertical position. Our beloved KC Hooper employed a custom base plate to demonstrate the versatility of the Right Arm at trade shows. As long as the pan movement is the horizontal plane, the Right Arm is good to go- even upside down! ;)
