Loudspeakers Yamaha A15

My school wants to buy a pair of A15s for their new sound system they are building. They want to use Yamaha Amps but don't know which amp to get to use with their A15s. They also want to use the one amp to drive both of them.

What is the application and who will be running the system? Will there be any system processing such as limiters?

What is appropriate depends on the application and is generally a matter of balancing output, headroom and potential damage to the speakers to best fit the needs of the particular application. Thus a portable, multi-purpose system may be approached differently than an installed system with a more limited range of usage. And an experienced operator may be better able to take advantage of any additional potential in the system without significantly increasing the risk of damaging the speakers.

Since you specifically asked about Yamaha amps, any of the Yamaha P series amps should work with one speaker per channel. If it is a situation where the system could be used for a wide variety of events and venues and might be operated by less experienced operators, a Yamaha P3500S would probably be a pretty good fit.

the application is almost anything that they can think of that they need PA for.
it will also be run by stupid teachers who would not know the first thing about it.
