My company is in the process of purchasing an old bar/club and converting it to office space. One of the bars is a plexiglass bar with a color kinetics light system inside of it. We are not sure of the exact setup, but it has some sort of LED light bars inside of it that look to be about 6 inches long. There are a good many of them. I think we counted 28 "lights", although we can't have direct access to the LED units.
These are all connected to a PDS-150e. We can turn it on and the lights come on in their "ready" state, but we have no way to control them. This was a foreclosure property, so the bank just sort of came in and ripped out stuff that looked valuable.
My question is: can I installed QuickPlayer on a computer, connect it to the PDS-150e via ethernet (rj45 jack on the circuit board labeled "ethernet") and control the lights that way?
Or do I have to run it through an ethernet router that supplies PoE?
Thanks in advance!
