Try putting a little thing that you rotate on the barrel of the light to change colours/be the stay-on switch. You could rotate it one direction to be red and the other to be white.

We are using a Mackie SR24•4 board. I went to download the Pro-Tools free version but it said it was only for OS 9. I am going to try it anyway (hopefully it will work in classic mode).

Someone I work with has made good gobos out of the bottom of pie sheets. You just have to be careful to cut the edges right so they don't get stuck in the light (I have had this happen with a professional gobo before).
