Macro Tech Vs Macro Tech I

Ok I think the question I was asking was unclear. I know that a Macro Tech and a Macro Tech I are better than an XTI. I want to know thoughts and opinions on the Macro tech Vs the Macro Tech I. I'm using them for the subs listed above. I do mostly bands in the club setting. I don't need the...

Macro Tech Vs Macro Tech I

I'm looking to upgrade some of my amps from XTI 4000 to ether Crown Macro Tech's or Macro Tech I's. I have 2 Yamaha SW218V subs now but will be upgrading to 4 EAW FR250z. I would like to run all 4 of the EAW's off of one amp. Below are the specs for the EAW's Frequency Response (1 W @ 1m)...

    Sub-woofer decision....

If you can listen to a pair of Harbinger HP118s sub you should. I heard a pair with the QSC K12 tops and it is one of the few powered subs that can keep up with their SPL in my opinion. At 699.99 you could get 2 if you could pull together the extra 400, if not I think you could get away with 1...

    Sub-woofer decision....

I have a pair of Yamaha SW218V's they are nice and move air. I run them with an XTI4000 and they still could take more power IMO. If you are going doing Cristian Rock I would opt for 15's myself. I do rock bands a lot and I would rather the punch of 15's. My one friend has 6 EV 15 and they...

    Loudspeakers Biamping Yamaha S215C

I'm looking to biamp my Yamaha S215C speakers. I was at my friends club a week or so ago and heard his S115v tops that he has biamped and I could not believe the sound. They made my head hurt from the SPL. I know I can easily by pass the passive cross over which is what I was going to do...

    Mixers/Consoles Looking for a new Sound Board/Console

Hi all, I'm thinking of a new sound board. I did a show last night where it would have been nice to have a few more aux sends. The board I'm using now is a Yamaha MG206C, it is a nice board just doesn't have enough auxes. Here is what I'm looking for: 24-32 channel frame. 6-8 auxs, If it...

    Control/Dimming DMX Dimmer Opinions

Well for the short term I picked up a couple of Elation DPDMX20L packs. There will at lease run the cans I have now and give me some time to get some LED's

    Control/Dimming DMX Dimmer Opinions

The one Bar that has the 50a receptacle it 3 pole w/ground, hope I said that right. In other words it has 2 hots, a neutral and a ground.

    Control/Dimming DMX Dimmer Opinions

I have a cheep board already an Elation DMX Operator and have been using Chauvet's usb to DMX box and software. I can get most stuff at a great prices, 12ch rack dimmer for $700. But with LED's being so new, I can't get as good of a deal on them. Long term I would love to be doing med to...

    Control/Dimming DMX Dimmer Opinions

Thanks to all that replied. JD have you ever used the 6ch 2 circuit packs? They don't use fuses, they circuit breakers. To everyone else what LED pars have you used and what do you like? I work for a MI retailer that deals American DJ, Elation and Chauvet. I see a lot of their products...

    Control/Dimming DMX Dimmer Opinions

I run a small portable PA rig and I'm thinking of upgrading to DMX dimming. I currently only have 8 Par38 can's at 150w each. In most of the bars and clubs I run sound I set a light tree on each side of the stage with 4 lights a side plugged into American DJ T4 chase controllers, it looks...

Wireless What is Maximum deviation range +-75kHz?

I had no plans to buy or use this thing. It was something that someone I know found on Craigs list and wondered what I thought of it and I told him not to buy it. But I was wondering about the spec, I have never seen in a manual for Shure, Sennheiser or any other mid-line UHF wirelesses...

    Effects rack power conditioning/distribution

I think what Museav is trying to say is you can't plug in one of the cheep 6 outlet power strips into another and into another and so on. It is not that you will over load the circuit but you could very well overload the last power strip that is plugged into the wall.

    Checking voltage of batteries

Volts/Ohms=amps Remember the static shock is around 10kv or 10,000 volts and it may hurt but wont kill you but touch a live 120v AC line and it could kill you. A static shock last just for an instant where an AC power line can supply that voltage all day long. Volts is just electrical...
