For our live shows, if there's lighting involved, it's triggered by MTC. An Alesis HD24 which is used for audio playback sends MTC to either a Hog iPC, Strand Rack Palette, or CueServer in the different venues. There are usually no problems, though MTC can hiccup, rarely if ever.

All of our venues use Shure UHF-R. Handhelds are a Beta 87A or SM58, bodypacks are a Beta 53.

The house system consists of a single ElectroVoice EVI-15. It works very well for our space because it throws a hotter signal towards the back than the front, so no one gets blasted, so to say. I think what I'll do is use two PCC160's evenly spaced out on the stage apron (the rental house only...
