Hey guys(and girls) i have a question. I just bought 2 high end studio spots cmy's for my school's auditorium. We are running the horizon program off of a PC to our dimmer rack. I was wondering if you guys would suggest bypassing our dimmer rack and running the lights out of a regular plug...
are you looking for strobing effects or more random. What kind or board do you have to run the lights?
We can't really help unless we know what you want and what you have to control everything
I was originally looking at the Profiles but then i was the washes. I like both models and think they are both great i was just looking for some feedback on the user friendlyness of the lights themselves.
Mainly the profiles.
I was wondering if ANYBODY has done any work with a MAC 2K? i have heard great reviews from people about them but iwas wondering if any one non here has worked with them. Please let me know ASAP
he's into changing the program because this is my senior year and after this he'll have to know the program well enough for him to train an in coming freshman so that he doesn't have to do lights for every show
The only reason he wanted to change the program is because he doesn't like one feature on horizon. I told him he was crazy and that we were keeping it but he still asked em to look around for otther programs so i did. He has done lights on horizon before and he mentioned the fact that basic...
Hey guys i have a question I am running the lights in a high school auditorium off of a PC with a DMX interface. I am currently running the horizon program. The director of our show this year(Bye Bye Birdie) decided that he doesn't want to use Horizon anymore. SO i was wondering if you guys...
Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up paying the 40 something bucks for the little hanging fire effect that Les suggested....thanks for all the advice
I need the effect of a live campfire on the stage not the lights on the actors faces. we wouldnt have time to set up the gels. We were just gonna use a real fire but this will be preformed in a high school auditorium. That would be a big no no
Hey guys i need help. For a traveling acting competition my school does we need to have a "camp fire" The only thing is i have no way to make one that will work. If you guys have ideas that have worked before could you please help. The competition is in less than a month and if i'm not ready...
I personally think that your best bet would be to run a hog 1000, they are great boards and give you outstanding control of the show. If you can't get a 1000 a 500 is ur next best bet. As far as lights themselves go it doesn't real matter. thats more of a personal choice and u can do what you...
I have worked with the Hog 1000 boards and i think those are extremely student friendly. As long as they read the manual and play around with it for a little bit you wouldn't have too much of a problem "passing the torch" when it comes to the light board. I personally learned the basics...
We don't really want to get rid of the program. we were told by the company that the program was out of date and it wasn't compatible with a MAC. So our director decided it was time to try something else. We found a PC and we're going to use that for a while but when that starts giving us...
