Currently I am in my third year of schooling working towards a BoA. I'm trying to decide on if I want to do my masters in design or just get into the industry and where to look for those jobs. I have just landed my first paid lighting design gig and I'm super stoked on that but I'm finding it...

i did a search for a school in canada and only one really stood out (metalworks) and i really dont want to go to the states...i got nothing agaist it...but i just dont think i can afford to go there :(

what do you mean by shop gigs? cus i live in such a small town that i dont even know if i have one...there hasnt been a concert near where i live in years so what city would be the best to go to...and schools...what would be good for sound specilization?

are they that much different from theatre techs? i just got back from Warped Tour and i had a blast...and im thinking about going more into the music part of tech and i am really curious as to how to do that...its something completly new for me... any bit of advice would be more then...

community theatre renting out a college theatre

thats surpising...we got so many younger people...about 3/4 of the audience... and our sunday mat. was full of youngins....mostly family and friends...hardly any older people

i forgot one (only to be used durring rehersal...) oops my finger slipped...

it most likely will...we just have stupid old people who fall down stairs!

the building is up to code...its a college theatre...the lady just slipped

one the last show the one i heard the most was No matter what...Stay Calm...as long as no one dies...there is no problem (our TD) lets get this show on the ball (me every night durring places call) erik kicked the floor mic again...we get to kick him (our TD) when in doubt...ask...

I was doing a production of Urinetown and it was opening night...we were all excited...about 5 mins before the places call one of the ushers comes into the green room (which is where all the tech's were...the actors were in the dressing rooms) and tell us all he needs pillows...we all kinda look...

hey all I am Michelle but everyone calls me Misha so i go by that i am very happy i finded this site!! i love tech and plan on doing it for a living...most recently i was the assistant stage manager/stage manager for our production of Urinetown: The Musical. I am from vancouver island...
