    Macros

Macros can also be recorded to run cues, start subs, or anything else you can do by manually pushing buttons. They can be a real time saver if you have a good reason to use them but I fiqure other than normal things like shutting of the board, it is easier just to program cues to do all of it...

What are some flashy lighting effects for a choir concert

This HS choir sucks so bad that if you don't have a strong technical show, the audience (mostly parents) gets bored and starts doing stupid things like throwing paper airplanes around (no joke). And anyway, the director wants cool effects because it makes it fun. I just can't come up with very...

What are some flashy lighting effects for a choir concert

What are your creative ideas for an otherwise boering preformace? I need ideas that I can do with source fours, fresnels, par cans, ect. I have an etc 24/48 board so I can automise some cool effects but I can't come up with too many.

How do you make curtain warmers?

I meant more shape-wise. Do just make a circle or two or several squares? I normally just cover the drape with that scattered light gobo but she said it wouldn't work? She wants a more "clasic" one. Help me.

How to contol the work lights.

PresetsI don't know how much they cost but we have these cool little preset buttons from etc. They can be easily programed to turn on lights and we have them backstage and at every door to the theatre. The ones by the doors have two buttons so we have it set to turn the house lights on and dim...

    Oh Crap!

So I'm a sound guy, as you might have guessed from my username. But any way, I'm also in orchestra and we had a concert and I did the lighting for that. It wasn't a problem but then I had to do it for the choir concert, which, in itself wasn't really a problem either (just a headache). But after...

    Sound guy needs help lighting!

I need to run a concert for an elementary chior/band/orch. The last time we did this, the lights were all set but this time no one is here to do it. Can you give me a basic rundown of the light board and how to light a concert, or am i in way over my head? Any advice is welcome!
