is the cable between the guitar and transmitter OK? Does the guitar work plugged directly in? Is the cable between the receiver and the DI or whatever is next OK? Is the XLR to the board ok... might not have anything to do with the wireless unit at all!
are you utilizing the caps that come with the E6? there should be 2 protective caps. for the connection I would use clear medical tape and wrap it from the top of the ear piece down the cable about 3 inches.
