    A logo of solidarity

Still a poor choice of adjective, in isolation, IMHO. I'll shut up now.

Forgive me as a long-time lurker, but am I the only one offended by the wording of that question?

Where to post RFQs for musical theater sound providers?

I am consulting for a local semi-pro outdoor theater group who are planning their first musical for this summer and will need wireless mics and mixing and PA. The scale and schedule are above my level and I am already committed to another show which clashes, but I said I would look around for...

    Motor Cycle indoors?

When we did SOUTH PACIFIC about 13 years ago, I tried to persuade the production to let my friend who owned a 1942 Willys Jeep to drive it onto the stage. For various reasons, this didn't happen! :)

    Mic belts

Another +1 for WMB. We have about 25 of them. Some of the older belts are getting a little fuzzy round the edges, but they're the cheap part. The pouches are rock solid.

    Soundcraft SI Impact - FL

At the risk of coming across as just another X32 fanboy, I mixed a musical theater show on an Expression 3 a couple of years ago and HATED it, most obviously due to the lack of DCAs. I would assume that it's had a software upgrade by now to add those. To the guy who likes to have all his...

    Anyone tried the RooAudio Joey?

http://www.rooaudio.comLooks cute, and a decent price (if decently constructed), but no connectivity with other stuff, and I'm not entirely sure about the always-on thing.

Blu-Ray/DVD and the Dolby Cinema Sound Processor

It was a one-off situation for me, but I'll definitely report your suggestions to the tech guy at the screening room.

Blu-Ray/DVD and the Dolby Cinema Sound Processor

I had to Google some pictures to remind me, but I think we were going into the NonSync RCA inputs on the back panel, replacing a simple line feed from a computer sound card. I didn't consider that the processor might have had a deliberate delay configured, although according to the manual that...

Blu-Ray/DVD and the Dolby Cinema Sound Processor

This is a bit off on a tangent from the original question, but for anyone attempting a similar general-purpose set-up with a newer Dolby processor, be aware that they have SIGNIFICANT input-to-output latency. I did a theatrical production in a screening room which had a CP-750, and there was...

    What mic to use...

+1000 for Microphone Madness PSM-Ls.I have about ten of them, some of which are nearly five years old, and have been through 10+ community theatre shows with actors of all ages. They don't sound quite as good as the MKE2s or B6s that I also have for responsible actors or when I need the mic...

    Musical theatre audio.

I'd done something similar, but unfortunately Tin Man's wife decided to touch up his make-up mid-show, and got some on the tip of the mic. When he came back on stage it sounded like he was still in the restroom. Needless to say, I had "words".

    Musical theatre audio.

I'm interested to know what makes you say this.have a bunch (10+) of Microphone Madness PSM-Ls, some of which are nearly five years old and still going strong after community theatre abuse. They're not the last word in sound quality, but I've had more mid-show misbehaviour from my MKE2s and...
